Equip yourself with a complete, ready-to-use toolkit for managing, understanding, and improving student behaviour across both primary and secondary settings. This behaviour management pack gives teachers and SENCOs the strategies, planning tools, and student-facing resources they need to respond to challenging behaviour consistently and effectively.

Covering everything from in-the-moment de-escalation through to structured intervention planning and conflict resolution, this pack works across a wide range of behavioural presentations and school contexts. Each component is designed to be used independently or as part of a coordinated whole-school or classroom approach, making it equally useful for classroom teachers, learning support staff, and pastoral teams.

What’s Inside

A nine (9) page PDF containing the following:

  • De-Escalation Strategies – Primary — A practical reference page presenting five evidence-informed strategies for supporting younger students in moments of emotional dis-regulation.
  • De-Escalation Strategies – Secondary — A parallel reference page tailored to the needs of older students, covering mindfulness and meditation, active listening and validation, problem-solving discussions, physical activity breaks, and journaling or art therapy. .
  • Behavior Intervention Plan (Behavior Intervention Plan) — A structured, fillable planning template for documenting and coordinating targeted support for individual students.
  • Behavior Reflection Worksheet – Primary — A visually engaging, student-facing reflection sheet designed for younger students to complete following a behavioral incident. Prompts guide students to describe what happened.
  • Behavior Reflection Worksheet – Secondary — A more detailed reflection sheet for secondary students, with structured fields for describing the incident, categorising the behavior type.
  • Behavior Intervention Cheat Sheet (Pages 1 & 2) — A two-page quick-reference guide covering practical strategies for twelve common behavioral presentations. .
  • Conflict Resolution — A student-facing reference page presenting nine conflict resolution strategies in a visual puzzle format, reinforcing the idea that resolution requires multiple interlocking skills.

How to Use
Use the de-escalation strategy pages as staff reference guides displayed in classrooms, staffrooms, or inclusion spaces, and reach for the cheat sheet when responding to specific behavioral presentations in real time.
The Behavior Intervention Plan is best used as part of a structured support review process, while the reflection worksheets can be completed by students immediately following an incident or during a restorative conversation.
The conflict resolution page works equally well as a classroom display, a student handout, or a discussion prompt during circle time or pastoral sessions.
