These resources are specifically designed for the BTEC Level 3 Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology external examination. The aim of these tailored resources are to improve students understanding of how to structure and apply the relevant knowledge to the 6 mark questions and the final section F: interrelationship questions between two different body systems 8 mark extended questions. The detailed power point goes through the structure of the paper for each learning aim, average percentage of total marks per individual learning aim, what students need to do for each command word and what the examiners are looking for in their answers.

Included are the following documents to aid student’s application:

  1. Student friendly crib sheet to help them understanding the commands for BTEC sport and what they need to do in order to secure the marks.
  2. A detailed powerpoint which acts as a step by step guide on how to answer the different command word questions.
  3. Section F extended question booklet: which includes an analysis of all the 8 published questions (SAM, additional SAM, 2017, Jan 2018, June 2018, Jan 2019, June 2019, and June 2018). For each individual question there is a helpful planning sheet and a writing framework to assist students with how to scaffold their answers to ensure they hit all three of the level descriptors. Also included are all of the 26 6 mark questions with a bespoke planning sheet and a writing framework.
  4. Section F answer booklet for every question.
