This scheme explores elements of the play Butcher Butcher burning bright by Mark Wheeler. It is aimed at year 8 and is a practical scheme which could be adjusted for social distancing lessons. It focuses both on the story of Molly who becomes trapped in a fire - in school and dies, but also on the range of techniques the playwright uses to tell the story. It has links to clips on you tube and has both humorous sections and challenging darker elements. It is 6-7 sessions but could be adjusted.
