Brighten up lessons in the run up to Christmas with this fun little festive challenge.
I buy a big tub of sweets every Christmas. I have been keeping tabs on the number of fudge and the number of toffee sweets in the tub over the last 6 years. I have recorded this as a ratio per year (6 in total).
Students are given the total number of sweets in the tub and sweet ratios for the last 6 years. Students need to work out how many fudge and how many toffee were in the tub each year.
This is a PowerPoint presentation so it can be easily displayed on the board and/or printed out for students.
