Lesson 5-7 (REPRESENTATION AND CONTEXTS): This TRIPLE and Mastery sheet assessment continues the TV in the Global Age unit for Component 2, Section A. This series of lessons will look in-depth at all of RAIL with this lesson focusing on:

-Exploration of 1973 and the contextual issues happening in Britain at the time.
-Character Assassination:Below are a series of representational terms you have learnt thus far. Independently and on the worksheet, write a character assassination for each of the characters:Archetype, Countertype, Regressive, Progressive, Marginalised and Tokenism.

  1. How far might audiences respond differently to representations in the set episode of Life on Mars? Refer to Stuart Hall’s reception theory in your response. [20]
