This resource aims to present Shape and Form, as an element of art, to a primary school audience.
It can be used as a stand alone lesson or part of a program of study.
It consists of a powerpoint presentation, with teachers notes, which explains the concept of space and form, and shows students how they can use art elements and techniques to achieve 3D effects in their artwork. There are opportunities for class discussion and participation within this, and many visual examples.
After viewing the presentation there is a fun form based worksheet to complete. Students can use their knowledge of creating form practically, to add 3D effects to the worksheet. This can be added to art, or sketch books, for future student reference and evidence of study for this element of the curriculum.
