FACE Classroom Cover Lesson

This complete standalone classroom lesson explores the themes in FACE by Benjamin Zephaniah. The resource contains lesson slides and an editable worksheet and is completely self-contained. Activities involve looking at how self image and status change during the play, a short scripting activity focusing on subtext and perception and, finally, a creative task imagining the filming of a key scene from the play. The slides refer to a google doc but the worksheet would also work as a printed resource if needed. Perfect for a cover lesson or as part of a wider assessment process. This will work for Year 9 but could also be adapted for either Year 8 or 10, as required.
