This is a colourful book aimed at EYFS and KS1 told by a shire horse called Millie. Millie talks about her life and the tractors on the farm in which she lives. Millie then shows us photographs of her great, great, great grandmother Mildred. This book compares the difference between modern tractors and horse drawn machinery in the past. I made this book for my class as I couldn’t find anything similar specifically aimed at 4-7 year olds. Once we read it, the children picked their favourite pages to colour and wrote their own sentences for our version of the book. The illustrations are included in a ‘colour in’ version with lines to write sentences at the back of the book.
