French Easter Egg Hunt in the Park Presentations, Actvity Sheets, Audio She

This special edition French Easter resource is more than just an Easter Egg hunt. It allows students to learn lots of vocabulary to do with the park and to use 3 prepositions “in, on, under” to identify where the Easter eggs are hidden in the park.

This resource is interactive and allows the teacher to teach and assess how well students have learned the vocabulary and language structures. The first powerpoint presents “The Park” vocabulary consisting of 24 items. These are split into groups of 8 and include 8 plurals, colour coded in blue and red to enable students to identify masculine, feminine, singular and plural nouns. Each set of 8 has an interactive summary slide to assess the students vocabulary development. Each item of vocabulary has a sound file attached, which will support non-specialist language teachers as well as pupils. Each set of 8 vocabulary slides has an accompanying activity sheet for students to identify and write the vocabulary under the correct pictures.

A park pairs game is also provided, allowing students to cut up and play this classic vocabulary memory game with their classmates.

An audio vocabulary sheet is an additional feature for this special edition, that enables students to develop independent learning either in school or at home, using a QR code reader (freely downloadable from an app store) to scan and listen to the vocabulary learned in the presentation.

Once students have become familiar with the park vocabulary they are ready for the great Easter Egg Hunt in the Park (La Chasse aux œufs de Pâques).
The Easter Egg Hunt activity sheets allow pupils to first find and count, in French, all the Easter eggs in the park. The answers are provided in an accompanying powerpoint, that is also interactive and enlarges the eggs so students can find them more easily if necessary.

The Easter Egg hunt enables pupils to name the colours in French and then identify where the eggs are. Pupils are supported with all the language structures and prepositions that are needed for this activity. The answers are provided in an interactive powerpoint, enabling the teacher to support all ability levels.
