Bundle of resources for the topic of Where I Live for French GCSE.

Reading Pictures - Three pictures with three descriptions. Students need to decide which description is more suitable and accurate. Good for practising reading for detail and describing a photo for GCSE.

Hexagon Writing - Supported, structured writing practice in the present tense giving opinions and descriptions about town.

Narrow Reading - Reading comprehension tasks about where you live and used to live. Exam-style questions including multiple choice and questions in French.

One Pen One Dice - Translation activity into French on the topic of house and town. Students need to work in pairs and race to complete the translation accurately first. Instructions on the sheet.

Paired Dictation - Challenging passage about nightmare towns. Two versions: one with the target vocabulary and highlighted for one student to read aloud and one with blanks for another student to fill in as they listen. Good for vocabulary, listening, and phonics practise.

Oral Ping-Pong - Paired speaking activity to practise comparing what your town is like with what it used to be like in the past. Two versions with different vocabulary filled in. One student attempts to complete the translation accurately and the other student with the answer tells them if they’re right.
