How did the Gold Standard restrict the supply of money, and why did supporters of the Free Silver Movement argue this was a problem for the economy? This lesson and activity examines the background and impact of the Gold Standard and Free Silver Movement. Students will analyze documents and answer corresponding scaffolding questions.
