A step-by-step guide of how to draw a realistic eye, including Do-it-Now task, Starter, Main Activity and Plenary, as well as common mistakes made by students. This is an ideal lesson for KS3, although it could also be taught to KS4. Leveled examples are also provided to guide students in self assessment of their work.

Also included is a worksheet ‘placemat’ that students can work on to ensure a smooth transition between tasks and a PDF version of the Powerpoint file as some formatting issues can occur due to the types of fonts used in the original presentation.

This lesson was graded 1 (Outstanding) in a recent observation. Shows rapid and sustained progress in one hour.
