A two to three day lesson plan that requires students to research, become knowledgeable about the crisis and ongoing conflict between Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan over the building of a large hydroelectric dam on the River Nile. Students then move on to work in groups to identify which levels of analysis and which key concepts from the IB Global Politics syllabus can best be related to this case study. The lesson is meant to conclude with a class discussion about the case study. The lesson is in PowerPoint format but was originally created in Google Slides and thus should be easy to upload to any VLE.
