Introduction to Business Finance Assignment - (Year 9/10)

I have a weak bunch of Y10s and have written this assignment to go over some of the finance topics that we discussed last year in Y9. I think that it would also work as a good intro to the subject in Y9.

Included:

• An activity where students search the Internet to find and cost the resources they need to start a simple business idea
• A structured question where they have to choose between 2 sources of finance
• A basic calculation of gross profit
• Simple break even
• Simple cash flow forecast
• A task where students research definitions of key terms

I would say that this is 2-3 lessons of work.
