Introduction to Film Studies - Superhero Genre

This is a series of lessons (8 in total) which introduce students to Film Studies using the genre of superhero films. The topics include: Codes and Conventions, Mise en scène, Camera Angles, Camera Movements, Screenplay Conventions, Sound and Music, Storyboarding and Pitching. I recently taught this unit to a middle ability Year Eight group. For each lesson there is a PowerPoint presentation, guiding teachers (and students) through each activity and accompanying student worksheets.
