This unit of work is all about the Old Testament. It aims to cover the back story, history and give a general overview of the Old Testament by looking at the key characters. In the next few lessons it uses the adaptation of 'The Bible' which can be found on Netflix, which the students really like to watch and they find it very accessible.
We use this unit at the end of year 9 as an introduction / foundation to GCSE as we are studying Christianity and Judaism as the two world faiths.
In this lesson the students do an investigations style activity in which they can develop independent learning skills. Then they complete a timeline activity in preparation for a research homework.
