This is the second part of this 'Ultimate Questions' unit. We use it for year 8 but it could be used for other year groups with some adaptation. It has some real stretch and challenge, which we find the students love, and it also gives them a first crack at the KS4 skills for GCSE when they do their assessment question at the end of it.
In this lesson the problem of suffering is addressed, suffering is categorised and the Inconsistent Triad introduced. We also look at the first of the 4 theodicies in this unit. Obviously for the less able students these terms do not need to be used.
The lesson is led by the PPT and there are tasks within.
