This SOW is complete with ten lessons which follow comprehensive PowerPoint slides and includes a **Teaching Guide, Student Booklets, Student Glossaries, Self-, Peer- and Group Assessment Boxes, Artist Research Worksheets and Extension Activities. **

In this SOW, students with understand the following key concepts:

  • Learn to draw from observation, understanding shape and form
  • Explore repeat, reverse and rotate patterns to build interesting compositions
  • Explore the qualities of shape and line through drawing, mark making and painting
  • Understand how to work with watercolour and acrylic paint to develop an understanding of hue, tints, shades, brush control and colour mixing
  • Be able to distinguish shape and form, turning two-dimensional shapes into three-dimensional forms
