**Good lesson to use for an observation. **

This is a lesson on Lewin’s Force Field Analysis Model. It introduces the model and how it works and then there is an activity for students to work on in pairs or small groups on the Royal Mail - ‘Should Royal Mail bosses give postal workers the inflation matching pay rise they have asked for?’

They are then given 15 pieces of information about The Royal Mail (e.g: The Royal Mail says that it is losing over £1m a day. ) They need to decide whether each statement would be a force driving change or a forces resisting change. They then add a value to each statement (1 to 5) and add up the total value of each of the forces to decide what the Royal Mail should do. (15 pieces of information are already included for you to use)

This is the followed by an summary task which involves writing an evaluation based on their decisions.

I have used this lesson for a number of years (You can adapt the topic to what ever you want) and it is always very popular with my students.
