This presentation identifies and names the parts of a term, and the parts that must be common for terms to be added or subtracted. It provides examples of terms that are like and not like, then 8 questions that can be answered by students, before the answers are revealed. An example of collecting like terms is given, and a further 8 questions provided with answers. Both sets of questions are on a worksheet half A4 size allowing for individual working if your class responds better to this form of work but can then still be marked from the PowerPoint.
