This lesson is based around the basic understanding of line segments and how to calculate the equation of a line. I have consistently used AfL and mini plenaries to assist students through this topic. There is a good range of differentiation and scaffolding which will cater towards middle to high ability students. Questions and answers are displayed on the PowerPoint to allow your lesson to run smoothly.
The lesson consists of a start (with solutions) and will take 2 lessons to teach. Please read the above before purchasing.

- I can find the coordinate of the midpoint of a line segment
- Apply the my knowledge to find the gradient and length of a line segment
- Find the equation of lines parallel or perpendicular to a given line
