This is a fun activity on logarithmic equations level 1. Students are asked to solve 12 logarithmic equations of the type log with base a from (kx+n)=b, where a,b,k and n are constants. Then students search for their answers in a table with names of astronomical objects (stars, asteroids, satellites, comets) corresponding to given numbers. Finding their answers students also find the names of 12 brightest stars. Students record the number of the problem matching it with its answer in a small text box provided. I have included the answer key and two tables with extra information for the teacher to inform students (if they are interested) what object is behind each name they have met in the table with answers.

NOTE: This product is created as a Google Slides product. I have converted it to PDF item here. I have included 2 PDF files - the one has each slide as a page and the other has two or three slides on a page for easy and more economic printing!
