This unit of work is for 3 sessions DT work on levers, for Years 3 and 4. It includes learning objectives.
It is intended as a foundation for more specific applied work on levers in DT, and allows the children to become familiar with first, second and third class levers, and to be given the opportunity to build, test and identify such levers in their everyday environment.
The plans include practical sessions, along with written work which will help to consolidate understanding.
The suggestions sheet has ideas for using the plans, ways of building upon the sessions, and extension ideas for using the learning once the unit has been completed.
