Maths Basic | Y5 Y6 Y7

A collection of Y5-Y7 lessons on the fundamentals of Maths. This collection includes 5 lessons focusing on:

1. Understanding place values and the value of specific digits in a number
2. Adding and Subtracting (using column method)
3. Methods of multiplying (grid method and column method)
4. Methods of dividing (bus stop method)
5. Working through word problems

These lessons are taught using:

• Teacher led activities
• Independent tasks (traffic light tasks - the students can choose the level they believe they are working at: green is the easiest set of questions and red is the hardest set should the student want a challenge)
• Short Answer Questions
• Dyslexia friendly fonts and colours
• Plenty of space for additional annotations you may wish to add during the lesson
• Starter activities referring back to previous classes to ensure active recall and efficient consolidation of learning
