Maths Journaling Year 4 Summer Block 1 Decimals unit B

These journal prompts are created for Year 4’s Summer Block 1 unit on decimals from White Rose Maths but could be used to supplement other schemes of work and general class teaching.

Children need an opportunity to explore their conceptual and procedural understanding in alternative methods that are not always directly from teacher guidance or classroom based activities like worksheets.

There are a selection of different journal questions and prompts that allow the children to explore the learning in depth and allows pupils to explain their understanding through their own reasoning, proof and explanation.
