Maths Unit Planning Year 2 Measurements Time

This is a 7 lesson unit on time to be taught to Year 2. It covers the following objectives:

-To create a clock face that will help tell analogue time
-Telling time to half hour and o clock
-To extend knowledge of analogue time- working towards telling time to the nearest 5 minutes
-Counting in 5’s
-To understand, compare and sequence intervals of time
-To answer problems with time
-Convert analogue to digital time

There is the planning for 7 hour long sessions with links to free teaching resources included, one powerpoint presentation to support learning and one activity sheet.

The activities are split into working towards/ beginning, developing, independent and advanced learning activities.
