Using number facts to add single-digit numbers to two-digit numbers (three days).

Children learn to apply number facts up to 10 to add single-digit numbers to teens numbers (totals less than 20), e.g. use 5 + 2 = 7 to solve 15 + 2 = 17, using the image of the 20 bead frame to help. They then go on to use these same number facts to add single-digit numbers to two-digit numbers (without crossing multiples of ten), e.g. using 5 + 2 = 7 to solve 25 + 2 = 27, 35 + 2 = 37 and so on, using the image of the 100 bead bar as support.
