Students calculate missing angles in triangles following these steps:
Children should be reminded that the sum of all angles in a triangle is always 180°.
They then add the measures of the known angles together.
Next, they subtract the sum of the known angles from 180° to find the missing angle.
For example, if you have angles of 60° and 80°, the missing angle would be 180° - (60° + 80°) = 40°.
This method applies to all types of triangles.
