Two powerpoints and two worksheets based on mixed numbers and improper fractions.
Worked well in Year 4!

Low and mid ability worksheets included.
My HA moved onto simplifying fractions quite quickly and I used mastery challenge questions throughout the two sessions.

Powerpoints recap what a fraction is, what they look like and introduce improper fractions and mixed numbers. The two lessons seperate the steps to converting between them and introduce the MAD acronym.

Used this alongside starters of ordering fractions silently from smallest to largest and throwing in a few mixed numbers to challenge them!
