This multiplication game involves building speed for the 6, 7, 8 and 9 times tables.

Fun to play and adds variation to times tables learning.

Repetitive play will allow students to build fluency in these multiplication tables.

Students play in groups of 2 - 4.

How to play
Sort the cards into piles based on the shapes on the back.
Each student gets a pile and shuffles their cards.
On a start signal, students race to place their cards into the correct multiplication table mat.
Students stop when the first person has gone through all their cards.
Students then use the back of the mats to check all cards are in the correct place.
They score 1 point for every card on the correct mat.
They lose 2 points for a card on the wrong mat.
Student with the most points wins.

Teacher Instructions
Print mats double sided and laminate.
Print cards double sided and laminate.
Print instructions for students or show on board.
Game can be played in groups of 4 or less.
Use as a whole class activity or for carousal activity.
