Are we running out of natural resources?

Lessons:

  2. What are rocks and how do we use them as a resource?
  3. How do rocks provide energy?
  4. Why are soils so important?
  5. How does the biosphere provide natural resources?
  6. How does the hydrosphere provide natural resources?
  7. Why is the world so dependent on oil resources?
  8. What natural resources can be used to generate electricity?
  9. how can we use natural resources sustainably?

These lessons follow the British Geography Curriculum. Within each 1 hour lesson (which can easily be adapted to be longer), caters for differing learning styles with a range of differing activities to target specific skills.

All students seemed to enjoy the lessons/unit and the activities within. The lesson is created with differing students in mind to allow all students to succeed and develop their geographical and wider knowledge.

The unit and lesson’s are easy to follow even for non-specialist teachers and can easily be adapted to increase challenge or to suit a nurture curriculum. All hand-outs are attached or within the PowerPoint.
