In order to promote the skills and understanding psychologists require in their studies, and to mirror the new AQA specification that Research Methods should be embedded throughout the course, I designed a Research Project for my students to put together in which they could fully use and develop understanding of the methods used by psychologists. This work follows the old A level coursework outlines and encourages students to propose their research, hypothesise, plan and conduct and then analyse. The use of statistical tests can also be added should teachers decide to conduct this while students are in Year 13. My students thoroughly enjoyed this over the spring term!!
