This resource is about comparing two lengths using a strip of paper cut to the same height of each child in the class.

The children will enjoy this activity. It is a precursor to other types of measurements children will be learning later on in maths.

The only preparation needed is cutting strips of paper (color paper if preferred) not too thin to the height of each child to carry out the activity.

Great also for adult ESOL literacy students. Hands on activity helps reinforce concept.
