A bundle of resources to support learning for OCR GCSE Chemistry Gateway specification for C1, C2, C3 and C4 units for the legacy specification.
The mind maps could be given out as a handout at the beginning of a topic to give the ‘big picture’ of the unit, and then referred to throughout the unit and/or used to encourage students to look ahead at what is coming next.
They could also be used as a revision tool – questions on the mind map help students to see the point of each section and can also challenge them to add missing information or make their own better mind maps, using the specification as a reference point.
Students could then use the revision map blanks to make clear summaries for themselves either using the mind maps, revision guides or just to see how much they can remember.
The revision powerpoint has been used successfully countless times to help pupils to focus on the small details of what they do just before an exam to get them in the right frame of mind.
