This engaging seven-lesson drama unit introduces students to the world of British pantomime through practical, high-energy activities that build characterisation, physical theatre skills, improvisation, and performance confidence.
The scheme covers key features of pantomime, stock characters, exaggerated movement and voice, breaking the fourth wall, and audience interaction. Students explore, rehearse, and devise their own short pantomime scenes, culminating in a final performance assessment.
This unit is ideal for Key Stage 3 (ages 11–14) or lower secondary drama classes, and can be delivered by both drama specialists and non-specialists.
