Get ready for lift off! Place Value Rockets is a fun and engaging hands-on maths activity where pupils build rockets using tens and ones to represent numbers up to 100.

Each rocket has been designed without flames or buttons, allowing pupils to use Base 10 blocks to complete their rocket. Children add tens as rocket flames and ones as control buttons, helping them clearly visualise how numbers are made.

With 16 different rockets and a variety of numbers to 100, this activity provides plenty of opportunities for pupils to practise place value in a creative and memorable way.
