A set of three lessons following ‘Point de départ: De la ville à la campagne’ Studio GCSE Higher Module 4. Students are reminded of key phrases (il y a, on peut etc), weather and places in a town throughout the lessons then go on to practice using the imperative to give directions. Students practice their skills through a range of activities from the book enhanced with support and challenge activities as well as additional slides to explain the grammar, additional exercises to practice using the imperative and ‘si’ clauses and speaking tasks. A quick ‘qu’est-ce qui manque’ game is also used to consolidate student knowledge. The lessons conclude with a role play card task with student friendly criteria and an extended writing task with success criteria to facilitate self/peer assessment.
