


Principles of Design – KS3 Art & Design Project
This KS3 project introduces students to the seven key principles of design: emphasis, pattern, variety, balance, movement, contrast, and unity. Each principle is explored through a dedicated studio activity, giving pupils the chance to understand and apply design theory while producing a unique artwork for each principle. Suitable for Year 7, 8, or 9, this project builds on core art foundations and supports creative exploration.
