Recognise and use thousandths and relate them to tenths, hundredths and decimal equivalents
Each number line shows a large jump of one tenth (not starting at zero).
The number line is then partitioned into ten parts to show hundredths.
In between each hundredth, the number line is partitioned into ten parts to show thousandths.
Number Line 1
Values are identified on a number line with a letter. Children have to write each letter next to the correct value written as a decimal.
Number line 2
Children identify the correct place on a number line for given values and record the value as a decimal next to it.
There is a simpler sheet where the number line does start at zero.
I use these with year five and as a recap for year six.
