An Understanding the World lesson all about Rockpools. We teach this in Summer 2 after we have taught about the seaside. It is a lovely exploration lesson of the creatures found in a rockpool and we set up a little rockpool in a tuff tray for children to explore.
Children complete a labelling activity of what can be found at the rockpool and can extend this by writing sentences about the rockpool or by making their own rockpool at the creative table.
