KS2 Literacy - Fireworks Lesson Plans
The 5 lesson unit uses banks of factual information and a model leaflet. Pupils explore features of persuasive writing as applied to a safety leaflet.
The unit starts with a story about a boy getting lost at a firework event. Pupils use this as a springboard for thinking about safety issues on Bonfire Night. They will write their own firework safety code and a safety leaflet, using convincing and informative, non-narrative text.
