School Desegregation Reading Bundle

This School Desegregation Bundle is a focused Civil Rights resource set designed to help pupils understand how school segregation was challenged, enforced and experienced in real classrooms.

Through three closely connected case studies, pupils trace the progression from landmark law to lived change:

• Brown v. Board of Education (1954) explains how the U.S. Supreme Court ruled school segregation unconstitutional.
• Little Rock Nine (1957) shows how desegregation required federal enforcement in the face of resistance.
• Ruby Bridges (1960) highlights the first-hand experience of a child integrating a public school.

Each resource includes two to three differentiated reading levels and a wide range of accompanying worksheets, including SATs-style quizzes, crosswords and word searches.
