Seven Weeks Maths Planning Bundle

Five weeks of maths planning that contains:

One week of planning (x5 one-hour lessons) and resources on 'decimals'. Learning objectives include rounding decimals, ordering decimals, word problems, arithmetic problems and a 'big maths' activity involving time. Suitable for use with lower KS2 or lower ability children in upper KS2.

Nine lessons on mixed operation word problems that can be used with years 4,5 or 6. Learning objectives include: one step problems, two step problems, discrete operation word problems and mixed operation word problems. Theme of the unit is money/buying toys and resources for school.

Thorough plan included for each lesson. SMARTboard slides include materials for teacher input and differentiated tasks for pupils to attempt independently.

Eight lessons on FDP that can be used with years 4,5 or 6. Learning objectives include: adding fractions, multiplying fractions, converting FDP, FDP word problems and finding the FDP of an amount.

One week's worth of lesson materials on scales that can be used with years 4,5 or 6. Learning objectives include: reading scales, comparing scales and word problems involving scales.

One week's worth of materials on efficient written methods (multiplication and division) that can be used with years 4,5 or 6. Learning objectives include: column multiplication, bus-stop division and word problems.
