I am a fan of the slow writing technique by David Didau, www.learningspy.co.uk

Here is a presentation on slow writing, which I created for a staff meeting.
It goes through:
-what slow writing is
-how slow writing is beneficial
-an example of slow writing
-two activities for staff to complete
-how teachers can experiment and take the research further

I have also created two examples of objectives slow writing for every year group (year 1 - 6) based on the current national curriculum. These can be used straight away in class or can easily be adapted to suit individual classes/pupils.

I spend a great deal of time making resources and hope they save you time! Any questions, amendment suggestions or feedback are always greatly received. Thank you!

The PowerPoint and sheets are really useful - thank you for saving me lots of time. There is a point of grammar edit needed however: possessive its (e.g. The fish snapped with its sharp yellow teeth...) has no apostrophe. Its is used like his and hers, neither of which have an apostrophe. The apostrophe on it's means a contraction: it is.
