Looks at George Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina and the implications the disaster had on people, especially Black people, in New Orleans, as well as the way Black people were portrayed as “looters” by the media when looking for food. The lesson looks at songs by Lil Wayne, Mos Def and K-Otix which refer to the natural disaster.
