Solving Equations - Split class ability!

After 12 years of teaching maths I got exhaused trying to teach so many different abilities at the same time. This resource allows a teacher to run three separate tasks of solving linear equations with ease, simultaneously! Each of the three tiers can randomise questions, display answers or progress onto the next stage. This allows students to learn at the pace appropriate to them rather than having to be held back by or having to keep up with the rest of the class.

There are 12 levels of difficulty that go from solving one step equations (additively and multiplicatively) to solving equations with brackets, unknowns on both sides, fractional solutions, and solving equations with fractions to give the full range of varation and challenge.
