China Space Programme Wallpaper Design Brief | Canva & Photopea Digital Art Project

This engaging digital design lesson/handout challenges students to create a computer wallpaper inspired by the China Space Programme. Students use Canva or Photopea to design a professional 1920 × 1080 px wallpaper using space imagery, logos, typography, colour, filters and layered composition.

The resource is designed to be practical, accessible and student-friendly, making it ideal for Year 8 / KS3 Art & Design, especially students who are new to digital design software. The PowerPoint is not text-heavy and uses large, clear instructions suitable for printing as a handout or presenting on screen.

Students are guided through researching China’s space missions, collecting appropriate images, planning their composition, using layers, adding effects, and exporting a finished wallpaper design.
