Spanish Speaking Exam Prep Lessons

Two complete and comprehensive lessons that can be delivered to students prior to the Speaking Exam, or when you are beginning to introduce the concept of the Speaking Exam in Year 10/11. (AQA 2026)

Lesson 1:

• Recall task on tenses
• Goes through all the topics and sub topics of the speaking exam
• Visits the different components of the Speaking Exam in depth. Each task has at least 1 practice question to do as a class & feed back as mark schemes are provided for each task so students can see how to be successful
• Independent task for students to practise with past questions on the theme of ‘School’

Lesson 2:

• Recall task on daily routine
• Focus on speaking & peer assessment throughout - role-play task where students use half their prep time to plan, then complete the section with a partner (mark scheme provided), same for the reading aloud section
• Compulsory questions following reading aloud provided to be completed ideally on mini whiteboards, or students can do them with partners
