Learners create a display of 2D shapes in this engaging lesson, they start in pairs, following instructions to measure and cut out 2D shapes without knowing what the final design is. Pairs then join others to puzzle out the final design and produce the display. Full teacher’s notes. Task cards are colour coded, some are optional if time is short. One picture suits groups of 8-12. One class can make many pictures. Lesson duration 1 – 2 hours, depending on support given and prior preparation. It is also a great home-school or holiday project.
