A lesson introducing states of matter. Aimed at low-ability KS3 groups but can easily be made more challenging. Focus on particle diagrams, properties of solids, liquids and gases and descriptions of how particles behave. Can be well exemplified by students modelling behaviour and arrangement of particles in solids, liquids and gases. Pairs nicely with a range of substances in different states for pupils to explore. Some links to non-Newtonian substances for extra challenge/interest.
